XID printer driver
Our high-performance driver for the EDIsecure® XID 5xxie Retransfer Printers has an intuitive and user-friendly graphical interface that allows the operator to easily set and control all printer functions including smart chip and magnetic stripe encoding. Material type and status are displayed via consumable monitoring. Special look-up tables can be uploaded to the printer to handle color correction. Within the Administration Center, all printer settings, such as print speed and lamination temperature, can be set and monitored.
While personalizing cards, K-Panel and Peel-off areas can be defined easily to specify which data should be printed with carbon black only or to prohibit printing on signature fields, allowing for extreme flexibility. For high-security applications, sophisticated special features are supported, such as high resolution UV printing and password protection.

Advanced Intelligent Printer Management (IPM)
With the driver-based Advanced Intelligent Printer Management (IPM), high-capacity card production of up to 840 cards per hour can be achieved through the connection of up to seven units of our EDIsecure® XID 590ie Retransfer Printer to one print server. An unrivalled level of system availability and flexibility can be reached due to this parallel workflow.
Advanced Chip Encoding Framework (CEF)
Through the printer driver of the EDIsecure® XID 5xxie Series, chip encoding is now as easy as magnetic stripe encoding. EDIsecure® Advanced Chip Encoding Framework (CEF) is part of the XID Printer Driver, and is a powerful driver-based toolkit for inline encoding ID-applications independent of various chip technologies. The Advanced CEF provides the integration of multiple encoding technologies into the EDIsecure® XID 5xxie Series printer environment with its easy-to-use Plug-in technology. Now, it is possible to encode smart chips from nearly any software application that allows variable field data in a card layout.
With its open architecture, Advanced CEF supports almost every possible chip type. By including the appropriate plug-in for your preferred chip technology, you can easily manage the contact and contactless chip controller hardware in our EDIsecure® XID 5xxie Series Printers.
When combining Advanced CEF with Advanced IPM, you achieve unrivalled personalization power and the utmost flexibility for smart card mass production.
